I had noticed in my own history and those of friends & family – that people were relying on not much more than a grab bag approach to selecting a partner. And everywhere (elevators, restaurants, at bus stops), men and women of all ages and backgrounds were bemoaning the issues in various romantic partnerships. I found myself asking silently, “WHY did you get involved with that person if that issue is so irritating?”
So the concept of my writing and mate relationship mission was born. I began doing interviews with a wide range of women and men of many different ages & national origins. It was no surprise that my career unfolded with opportunities as a VP and Senior matchmaker for a major matching service in Beverly Hills, CA and later as the resident matchmaker, editor and writer for a singles newspaper in Ventura, CA.
My premise is that most people spend more time and know more what they are doing when they shop for a pair of shoes, a car, a job, a house etc. than when they pick a mate. This concerns me as I noticed the negative results of this random selection process: millions of children from broken homes with no role models, a growing single population and a serious strain on the social economic structure.
I believe that conscious citizens of the planet - and particularly, women, have a powerful role to play in helping to turn around both of these areas – the workplace and the family environment. Many workshops, retreats, and materials are being created to assist with this empowerment.
As our society moves forward, it is critical that we all step up to the line and claim our responsibility and our God given power to create our community and our world the way we want it and for the greatest good of all.
Aren't you just tingling with the excitement of all that we can create TOGETHER? Well, Okay - aren't you at least willing to acknowledge that we, as a society, could do a LOT better? It is a big vision, but we CAN do it. All it takes is one person and one couple at a time - being more aware and more conscious.

From humble beginnings as a coal miner’s daughter in a central Montana mining community, I have journeyed through life with the belief that we are only limited by what we believe. My greatest disappointments have been the realization that not everyone sees life as ideally as I. However, my greatest rewards come from knowing that by aiming high, we never really lose – that somehow, the very opening up to a possibility - actually begins to give us better results.
My early professional experience included progressively responsible positions in human resources management, helping build Montana State government’s uniform Personnel Administration program during the 1970’s. I learned that my strong work ethic, cooperative nature, integrity, instinctive problem solving abilities and communications skills were valuable assets in completing large projects. What I also learned was that human potential and employee motivation were often elusive components in a male dominated, ego based, top heavy, bureaucratic world. This was the beginning of my quest for formulas that maximize human potential, distribute rewards fairly and value harmony equally with productivity.
For the last twenty years, subsequent work has unfolded in a rich kaleidoscope of experiences in many industries: oil and gas, mortgage banking, big 8 accounting, Wall Street, the singles and marriage brokerage industries, construction, advertising, antiques, publishing and media production. I have worn many hats: interviewer, job analyst, administrative law judge/hearings examiner, headhunter, marketing/management consultant, loan officer/broker, oil and gas broker, marketing consultant, trainer, secretary, president, vice president, matchmaker, writer/technical editor and workshop facilitator-instructor.
In 1996 - in Kalispell, Montana during a group meditation, I received a powerful healing energy gift, which was totally unexpected at the time, but is now an integral part of the empowerment and transformational work I do.
My business consulting and the higher purpose work are now melding into one active schedule.
